Friday Fellowship

The CCIC Sunnyvale groups are an important part of the church members' fellowship life. Together, we grow in Jesus Christ and, through various activities, build up the body of Christ. In the love of Christ, we support each other and walk the heavenly path together. The fellowship is divided into five groups.

The church small group meets regularly every Friday evening from 7:30 to 9:30. The activities include worship through songs, prayer, Bible study, and group sharing. In addition, each small group may have additional activities based on their needs, such as sisters' prayer meetings, brothers' book clubs, as well as various potlucks, outdoor activities, and holiday gatherings. There are two to three Bible study sessions per month, along with one to two joint meetings.

The church hopes that every member can join a group to care for each other, help each other, grow spiritually, and bear beautiful testimony in the community, attracting more people to know our God.

Group Fellowship Time: Every Friday evening from 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm, except for church events

Group One

Group One, also known as the Cantonese Group, several members have been serving in children's ministry for a long time and are involved in teaching adult Sunday school. Most of us understand Mandarin, most members of this group speak Cantonese as their native language. Despite some members not understanding Cantonese, they still choose to stay in the Cantonese Group. Most of our members have been Christians for many years and actively serve in the church. We have members who enjoy outdoor activities and organize stargazing nights in the summer and fishing or clam digging trips during holidays. Many members have been long-term servants in children's ministries, including teaching adult Sunday school, leading Bible study groups, and caring for missionaries. Elder Wong Wo Shue and his wife, one of the founding elders of CCIC, are also part of our group. Since most of us also understand Mandarin, communication is not an issue. We welcome visitors and friends to join us. 💕

Group Two

Group Two includes enthusiastic members ranging from 30 to 90 years old. Our group has both new believers and those who have followed Christ for many years. With about 15-20 members, we actively participate in weekly gatherings focused mainly on Bible study, ensuring everyone finds resonance. We study the Bible together, delve into God's Word, pray for one another, and share both joys and struggles, supporting each other. In our group, we focus not only on spiritual growth but also on each member's family life, sharing parenting experiences, and regularly hosting potlucks and outings to strengthen team spirit. We meet in a church classroom every Friday and look forward to seeing you. Friends who resonate with faith, life, and friendship are welcome to join us to explore God's love and abundant life.

Group Six

Group Six, named "Emmanuel", symbolizes God's presence with us. Our diverse group includes members from Taiwan and mainland China, some of whom are retired. Despite our varied backgrounds, we share a youthful and lively spirit, actively participating in church activities, dance, and singing. Our Bible studies are dynamic, bringing new hope each time. We have two mentors who provide strong support for our Bible studies. The group is full of life, sunshine, and wisdom. Although sometimes our physical strength may wane, we maintain both physical exercise and spiritual growth. Our snacks are particularly popular, ensuring both spiritual and physical nourishment after each meeting. We meet every Friday, in sync with the church fellowship time. Everyone is welcome to join our in-person family gatherings to grow in the Lord and share Christ's love together.
